Adéla Pavelková
I am currently studying Czech language and literature at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University. I have loved the Czech language since childhood – I enjoy reading, writing, and discovering its beauty. In my teaching, I aim to help students experience the language, learn with joy, and explore the world of words at their own pace, combining my artistic sensibility with a passion for literature and linguistic detail.

Alena Gaigrová
I have always enjoyed travelling and learning about other cultures and foreign languages. I met a lot of people who were wonderful guides to me. In my profession, I have always tried to give back, whether as a tour guide in Prague or as a teacher of languages. I enjoy helping those who have decided to spend some time in Prague and who are so brave that they have set out on a journey to discover the beauties of the Czech language. Czech is an amazing language. It will be an honor to guide you through its complexities.

Alice Martini
Mastering a new language requires effort and a long-term commitment, but the results are worth it: one expands one's skills and new horizons open up.
I really like my job as a lecturer, because I accompany my students on the path of their personal growth. Their progress and satisfaction are my greatest achievements.

Anna Čurdová
My name is Anička. I have been teaching Czech to foreigners for more than fourteen years. I believe that when I enjoy my work, it shows in my lessons, and students come to class with enthusiasm. The Czech language is beautiful, and I am happy that I can pass it on to my students. When preparing individual lessons, I often think back to my own experience studying foreign languages and draw inspiration from it. I really like that the learning process goes both ways. I teach my students, and my students always teach me something as well.

Barbora Eichlerová
I enjoy teaching - in person or online, individually or in a group - each lesson is always different, spiced up with stimulating questions from students. I know what a challenge it is to learn a foreign language and I appreciate everyone's courage to take the plunge into Czech.
What I also find fascinating about teaching is that it is one of the few times I live fully in the present.

Bohdan Fridrich

Denisa Žáková
I graduated in Czech language and Literature at the Faculty of Arts of Charles University in Prague. I started to teach Czech for foreigners already during the last year of my studies.
I have also experienced firsthand the situation most of you know very well – you are a foreigner in a foreign country and you need to learn a foreign language quickly to succeed in studies or in business and to make friends. In my lessons I try to focus on students’ needs and how they can use Czech in everyday life. We work together to overcome their fear of speaking Czech and to make their communication more efficient.

Eliška Králová
Czech is both my passion and a major part of my work. I have been teaching Czech to foreigners for more than 20 years. I enjoy uncovering the secrets of the Czech language for my students and watching their progress.
In addition to Czech, I also focus professionally on Latin, specifically medical terminology, which I have been teaching at the university level for many years. I love spending my free time in the mountains, whether in winter or summer. The mountains are the place where I can always reliably recharge my batteries.

Elizaveta Ťoupalíková Tkač
Teaching is honestly fun for me, and I definitely feel privileged to be able to call my work my biggest hobby. I try to be empathetic so that I can build a closer connection with each student and truly understand them. In my lessons, we often laugh at mistakes too — but don’t worry, I never try to be funny at anyone else’s expense :) I’m looking forward to our first lesson!

Eva Strmisková
I have been teaching languages for a long time. I am entirely fascinated by how they’ve been developing and influencing one another, and how they are complementary.
But I like my native language best, which I observe through foreigners’ eyes. The challenge is the "questions WHY," so that I can discover the logic of the language. I would like to share with my students not only the lessons but also the pleasure of learning and my passion.
I try to make full use of our time, and that’s why I adapt the lessons to the students’ needs – I am here for the students, not the students for me. :-)

Gabriela Drábková
I consider good language skills one of the key pillars of quality communication. And I have been focusing on communication in my professional life. I teach children to talk – to express themselves – to understand.
Thanks to my students, foreigners, I also got into teaching Czech to foreigners. To which I have been dedicated for the last three years and I look forward to each new student, new group.
I truly enjoy teaching Czech, with a love for the language, with an individual approach to each student and with slight chills in the back because it is still not a routine for me.

Hana Tesařová
I enjoy teaching Czech to foreign learners because it connects the language with people’s everyday lives. I see Czech as a fascinating language that can help students better understand both the environment and the culture of the Czech Republic. In my lessons, I focus on clarity and on building students’ confidence step by step. I aim to create a friendly and open atmosphere where students feel comfortable speaking, experimenting, and gradually gaining more confidence in their communication.

Iva Klibániová
Hello, everybody! My name is Iva and I have had the pleasure of teaching Czech for foreigners for more than 8 years now. I studied Foreign Languages (English and Russian) for Tourism at the University of Hradec Králové.
Though I have never been a tour guide, I can compensate my love for foreign cultures by travelling and interacting with my students during Czech lessons. I know very well that knowledge of the local language is the key to the hearts of people. And it is my pleasure to accompany you on this exciting journey.
I love music, dancing, good food, and I am also interested in personal development. I'm looking forward to your stories and ideas as I believe learning is a reciprocal process and it lasts the whole life :)

Ivo Biršel
I started teaching Czech to foreigners right after I graduated from university in 2016. In the beginning, I worked more individually or with small groups of students.
In 2019, I focused more on larger groups and I feel that it is only there that my work has become more fulfilling. I try to work interactively in my classes, often using different apps (Kahoot is a particular favourite). I like to help show my students the way through Czech, as I realise how challenging the language can be.

Jana Jelínková
I love learning foreign languages. I enjoy investigating the hidden secrets of grammar and discovering whole new worlds through the new language.
And even more than that, I enjoy helping students of the Czech language to open the doors to the Czech world, because I am sure that they are bound to love it.

Kateřina Horová
Already as a preschool child, I was regularly teaching all my toys. Later, I studied Literature and Semiotics at Charles University and worked as a journalist in magazines for women.
Besides my job, I always loved tandem language learning with expats and exchange students. My lessons are full of fun but also grammar drill, and I will fully introduce you to Czech cultural life (including cinema and literature) and cuisine.

Kristina Jarošová
Since I was a child, I have always been fascinated by my mother tongue, so when it came to choosing a field I would like to study at university, Czech language and literature was without doubt the first option for me.
My passion for language also extends beyond Czech and I am proud to be multilingual, having spent time studying and learning other languages as well. These experiences have shaped my philosophy towards teaching Czech, understanding that learning a new language can be challenging, but ultimately enjoyable.
Therefore, I will be a patient and dedicated teacher throughout your Czech language learning journey. I am thrilled to help new students learn our beautiful language and become a part of our linguistic community, whilst also appreciating the rich and diverse ways it can be used to communicate and express yourself.

Lenka Hubená
I am a mom who enjoys getting to know people from different parts of the world, their customs and culture, not only through teaching.
Preparing high quality lessons that students look forward to is my great motivation. I enjoy creating lessons that are not only about teaching, but also about a pleasant atmosphere.
My teaching style is defined by: professional approach, sense of humor, patience, empathy, support, motivation and last but not least creativity. I will show you that Czech is not complicated.

Lenka Táborská
Communication with people belongs among my lifelong needs. I would never be able to fulfill this need without the most important tool which is my native Czech language. Therefore I like the Czech language very much, it is my most natural instrument of getting to know people, of making friendships but also of understanding the world around me.
Via its richness, it enables me to express my feelings and needs both by words and by writing. Without the knowledge of my native language I would not be able to express myself and to communicate.
This is why it is so important for me to become a guide for everyone, wherever he or she might come from, who wants to learn Czech language with the aim to use Czech language for getting familiar with the Czech world and to understand it. Simply for communication in a Czech environment.

Leoš Potorac
I have been teaching Czech for many years, and with each passing day, I love teaching more and more. In my lessons, students are never bored or afraid to speak.
We use a variety of interactive methods and original exercises to learn grammar and develop active speaking skills. I love the Czech language and Czech culture, and I always try to pass this love on to my students.
I am a member of the Association of Teachers of Czech as a Foreign Language and the author of several original teaching methods. I’ll be happy to see you in the course and to show you that learning Czech is not a barrier, but a path to success.

Lucie Fajmonová
Why should you be happy to have me as your lecturer of the Czech language? Because I was in your situation. I was in your shoes, as they say. I’m originally Czech and lived in the United States, Greece, and right now I’m living in Turkey. I know very well from my own experience how challenging it can be to be a foreigner in a foreign country.
I follow a motto: "The best way to travel abroad is to live with the locals." If you decide to learn a local language, you’ll unlock a whole new level of true cognition of the country. Just as you are committed to learning Czech, I am committed to learning Turkish.
I understand how frustrating learning can be at the beginning, especially when you see sentences in textbooks that you know you'll never use. I promise to teach you Czech for life and, besides language skills, I’ll also explain the cultural context.
My goal is that our lessons together will become one of your favorite parts of your day. I am willing to do the maximum for that. And if you value formal qualifications, I have a bachelor's degree in pedagogy. See you at the lesson! :)

Marcela Karlíková
My beloved teacher – Professor Večerka – always used to tell us that we see the world through our language.
If we have no word for a certain type of flower, we cannot distinguish it from other flowers. If there is no word in our language for "yellow", then we see only light green.
I like to teach foreigners to see the world in a Czech way. And not only foreigners... my two little daughters already see the world in that way, too.

Marie Dufková
I am a Czech language tutor for foreigners, and I have been teaching for many years – a profession I still truly enjoy.
In my lessons, I place strong emphasis on a friendly and supportive atmosphere, as well as active student participation. I believe that languages are most effectively acquired in an environment where learners feel comfortable and confident enough to speak freely. My lessons are designed to be highly interactive: students work in pairs and small groups, engage in practical tasks, and communicate with one another throughout the lesson. We regularly practise real-life situations, such as workplace communication, interactions in public offices, and everyday conversation.
I use a communicative, task-based approach, focusing on topics relevant to both everyday life and the professional context. I also prepare my own teaching materials and activities to ensure that lessons are varied, natural, and practically useful beyond the classroom.
I am very pleased that many students return to my courses over time, and that we often work together over the long term – in some cases for several years. This allows me to closely monitor their progress while fostering an open and supportive group environment.
I would be delighted to welcome you to one of my lessons.

Markéta Penzová
I started to teach during my University studies and although I changed my job after my graduation, I finally decided to get back to teaching. It’s creative work that I really enjoy and that enriches me as well.
I keep learning and developing myself because any language helps you to discover new scopes of life. I’m happy to see my students’ progress and success and to know that for them, studying is a pleasant and useful way how to spend their free time.

Markéta Černá
Hello, my name is Markéta. I got into language learning a bit by a roundabout way, but learning is now for me even more fun, interesting and enriching.
It's a job where you can never get bored. I like an active approach, I appreciate every effort and the courage to learn something new. I will be happy to be your enthusiastic guide through this difficult language.

Markéta Drápelová

Markéta Schindlerová
When I teach Czech as a foreign language, I encounter students of various nationalities. It is wonderful to be part of connecting cultures.

Markéta Valešová
Alongside Czech language and literature, I also studied French at the Faculty of Education at Charles University. That’s why I understand the demands that grammar and vocabulary learning place on memory.
I truly appreciate anyone who isn’t afraid to start learning a foreign language, and it’s very important to me that students feel safe and confident speaking during lessons. I enjoy visual arts and nature.

Michał Firla
Hello, my name is Michał. During my practice, I have met many people who wanted to fulfill their dream by learning the Czech language. It is and always will be an honor to be a part of this process.

Miriam Milosavljević
Actually, I have never planed on becoming a teacher. Just as many other decisions in life, this one too, came with time. After studying i have gone through many jobs but in all cases I was working with people from many different countries. To me these mutual contacts have always been very enriching. I have also lived abroad for quite some time so I have a similar experience as foreigners here in Prague. For the past few years I have been teaching kids foreign languages and I consider it a challenge to put these experiences together and teach foreigners to speak Czech, show them our culture and make it easier for them to feel welcome and comfortable here, while speaking our language. People who are coming here are usually friendly, open and excited. I wish that they can become a part of us easier.

Miroslava Kopicová
I taught Czech for foreigners (and English) right after high-school graduation for a while. After years of translating (I studied English literature), I feel drawn to teaching again because I’ve realised I enjoy teaching increasingly more, whether it is languages or even qigong.
Language learning is interesting to watch even in native speakers. For example, my daughter used to naturally chant or sing every new word she spotted when she first started speaking, which is excellent for word retention. Speaking different languages has always felt almost physically like tasting different cuisines; it is mind-opening because linguistic resources enable a somewhat different way of thinking in every language.
As a Czech teacher, I also find it useful to know that the students’ mother tongue may function very differently from ours.

Monika Sedláková
I do like the Czech language in its diversity and complexity; Czech is a beautiful and very interesting language.
I like working with people and I enjoy teaching a lot because it is very inspiring and creative work. I am always very happy when I can guide my students on their journey to knowledge of the Czech language and Czech culture.

Nela Ščudlová

Nikola Plocková
I began teaching Czech as a foreign language during my studies at the Pedagogical Faculty of Charles University and soon found out that this is a field that really interests me.
It is a very creative activity that allows me to combine my two passions — my work and learning about foreign countries, cultures, and languages while meeting new people. My main motivation is a class of happy students.
This is the motto which I always try to follow in my lessons.

Patrik Felčer
As a trained translator, I understand firsthand what it’s like to learn a foreign language and the pitfalls you may encounter along the way. I also know the sense of joy that comes when a new language allows you to build a new life in a new country. That’s why I enjoy helping others experience that same joy.

Pavel Bratský
Hi, my name is Pavel. I have always liked to take part in an international environment. Most of the time, when I said where I came from, people abroad surprised me with the knowledge of well-known Czech personalities from the field of culture or sports. At that moment, I felt great pride.
It will be an honor for me to be your guide in the Czech language and in our beautiful country. Let's enter the wonderful world of a new language together. And now hurry to the study! I wish you a lot of success.

Pavla Bošková
In which other language would we find such a beautiful sentence? It may be that in every language, but I like Czech the most! And therefore I am delighted when someone wants to learn and discover its laws and beauty.
I have been teaching Czech since my studies at FFUK. I will help with pleasure to all who want to learn this language and who wish to overcome all its pitfalls with joy and play, so the time invested will be a real benefit for them.

Pavla Havlíčková
A life in a foreign country without the knowledge of the local language is often very complicated and stressful. The ability to know the language makes the situation much easier.
Personally, I respect all the people who get down to studying the Czech language. I would love to support you during this process – your development is my joy :-)

Sandra Mynaří
As the Czech proverb says, “The more languages you know, the more times you are human.” Hi, I’m Sandra — a Czech language tutor at CLT School. I specialize in preparing students for permanent residence and other Czech language exams, and over the past four years, 95% of my students have successfully passed their exams. For me, learning a language is much more than studying grammar and vocabulary. It is a way to connect with people, understand different cultures, and open new opportunities in life. Let’s explore the beauty of the Czech language together. I’ll be happy to guide you every step of the way.

Vadim Chernyshev
Teaching Czech is not just a job for me, but also a joy. Czech is not my native language, but that’s exactly why I understand the challenges that come with learning it.
I have gone through the learning process myself, and today I want to share my knowledge and experience with others. I love foreign languages and am fascinated by the differences and similarities between them.
I believe that learning a language is not just about grammar and vocabulary, but also about understanding the culture and way of thinking. That’s why I strive to make my lessons not only effective but also enjoyable.

Věra Engelová
I am a Czech language teacher for group and individual courses, teaching all levels. I studied teaching vocational subjects at the Technical University of Liberec, where I also focused on special education.
I have extensive experience teaching adults and especially children. I am deeply interested in alternative ways of teaching, which makes my lessons creative, playful, and highly engaging. This creative aspect of my work is something I enjoy immensely.
Satisfied and enthusiastic students are a great motivation for me. Outside the classroom, I love to travel, meet new people, and explore international cuisine. In my free time, I enjoy painting, writing poems, and swimming in the sea.

Věra Rádyová
I started teaching Czech about 10 years ago by accident because of my knowledge of French. One French manager wanted to learn Czech, but not via English. This gave me the chance to teach my mother tongue, and as more managers followed, I officially became a Czech teacher.
I enjoy looking at my native language through the eyes of a foreigner and helping them communicate effectively in a Czech environment. I truly appreciate the effort people make to speak the language of the country where they live; I consider it a great courtesy.
Students often praise my patience and my sincere interest in making sure they really learn and progress. I look forward to guiding you on your linguistic journey!

Veronika Jedličková
Why did I start teaching Czech? At first, Czech was always my hobby. I love its picturesqueness and diversity. On the other hand, I can imagine how much it can complicate life for many foreigners living in the Czech Republic.
I have experienced situations myself where I could not express what I wanted and understood even less. Therefore, I decided to do this lovely job so all my students could feel at home in our country.

Viktor Miller
Greetings, my name is Viktor. I am a language enthusiast and very much enjoy sharing this enthusiasm with others. In the past, I worked in an international environment where language exchange was part of the daily routine.
Even in my spare time, I regularly meet with people from all around the world to exchange interesting cultural facts. I find cultural and historical context to be the key to fully understanding a language; thus, I won't only teach you the HOW, but also the WHY.
I have extensive experience with integrating people into Czech society, and I am looking forward to helping you feel at home in the Czech Republic as well.

Zuzana Nováková
For some time I have lived in Spain and Portugal, so I know very well how good it feels to have a conversation with locals in their mother tongue.
I love foreign languages because they can open the door to new, unknown worlds. Many people have helped me while I was learning languages abroad, and now I am happy to help you with Czech.
I consider Czech the most wonderful language, as it is my mother tongue, and I look forward to sharing its beauty with you.

Zuzana Prokopová
My name is Zuzka and I love teaching both children and adults. I have been working in education for ten years and I always strive to work with the Czech language in a playful way because I believe that learning should be enjoyable and fun.
I enjoy painting and board games, which often inspires me to come up with different creative methods to teach you Czech in an engaging way.
I look forward to meeting you and guiding you through your own language adventure!
