Hi, I received an individual language course from this agency for 2 months. It was perfect from first day to last minute. The teacher (Petruse) was very capable in accomodating to my level of Czech, which was mainly based on my second mother tongue Croatian. This way I was already able to speak quite some Czech, but faced lots of problems in mixing up the grammar and words. Her approach was mainly based on communication, discussion and describing certain situations - without looking in any books and without learning the grammar-charts by rote I made huge progress from lesson to lesson! The atmosphere was always very positive and open and I never felt any pressure or shame. The organizational side was highly professional, Mr. Kasparek answered every email quickly, the bills were perfectly ok for my office to be taken into the accountancy and Petruse was always on time at the lessons. And: I received a special rate based on the amount of lessons I booked! Thank you very much!! Tomislav

I began as totally beginner and after 14 months I attended advanced course. To be honest, the first steps were not easy:) Thanks to a great teachers I considered it as a good fun. Many regards to : Ludek (my first teacher, who taught me to think in Czech), Mr.Kasparek(who showed me that a grammar can be interesting) and Veronika (who always was able to motivate me to harder work).
The Czech Language Training is the right school for those who wish to learn Czech in a good enviroment. I'm not only talking about grammar rules and specialised English speaking teachers, but mainly about the psycological approach developed by all the staff working there. Dynamic classes full of fun and entertainment, because teaching can't be resumed in grammar explanations only. It's above all self-confidence provided for the students at a more than a resonable price. I was going to take 10 classes at Berlitz for 1.000 US dollars, but I was advised by a friend of mine to call the Czech Language Training and speak with them. So do yourself a favor, call them and start enjoying your stay in Prague among friends and high experienced teachers.

I took a Czech course at my university in the states and I can say with confidence that the teaching methods employed at CLT were much much more effective and intuitive the university course. My class was very informative, but more importantly fun. I absolutely recommend CLT to the foreigner who is trying to learn this often difficult language.

I found Czech Language Training to be top notch: a professional and friendly environment. I strongly recommend them.
I agree wholeheartedly with all the other recommendations listed here for Czech Language Training. CLT has provided me with an excellent introduction to the Czech language. I am making steady progress and intend continuing with them. Miroslav Kasparek runs a friendly, efficient, professional operation and he is a very patient teacher. He was recommended to me by Lida Hola, who wrote the Next Step by Step course so he must be good! CLT’s course is good value for money as well as being enjoyable and in addition to providing effective and enjoyable teaching, offers its students the opportunity to learn about Czech culture. They run regular film evenings, showing Czech classics (with English sub-titles) in collaboration with a group of film enthusiasts. Not only will you learn Czech, you will get to know something about Czech culture and acquire an understanding of what it means to be Czech.

I had a one to one language course for 34 hours with CLT and went from zero to basic Czech in a wonderful way. Very friendly, very flexible and highly recommended.

"I found Czech Language Training (CLT) on the internet after an expensive, stressful eight weeks with another school in Prague. CLT's small classes are perfect for learning and enjoying the Czech language and Miroslav Kasparek has such an understanding of his student's ability that he actually teaches to each student individually within a group of four. I am able to study twice a year for three months at a time. With each trip, Miroslav finds an appropriate place for me to continue my studies. I know of no other school in Prague which could provide the low student/teacher ratio, flexibility, quality, and reasonable prices which CLT provides."

Your class absolutely met my expectations. The small class sizes and comfortable environment make it very easy to learn. The class times go by so fast!
Jacy from Canada
Your course exceeds my expectations. The tutor (Ludek) brings an energy with him that motivates the students to succeed and introduces slightly more material than what I’m comfortable with (which is good!). I leave class trying to let the material sink in and it’s not too much to where I’d fall behind. He really does a great job challenging us. I like the way he wants to move through the explanations of grammar quickly but clearly and drills it in by making us practice. You are very lucky to have him as one of your tutors.

Excellent value for money. I couldnt have asked for more from the high standard of teaching I recieved form Maria Novakova at CLT, extremely friendly and a thorough teacher I would definitley reccomend this be the first place to look at when wanting to begin the daunting task of learning the czech language.
Scott Crossland - student of Czech for Beginners
"Fast and friendly" : I can advise you to take this Studio, I had a personal course and coudn't have better result in this very short time. I can tell, because I had a course before. Here I learned more in three lessons than in the complete course I had before.

First of all, I would like to thank Czech Language Training because, finally, I can order in Czech something else than just “Pivo”!!! This is just to say that I have been studying Czech for one year and few months and I still have the same enthusiasm as the first day! I think CLT has the right program structure and its teachers the right competences to take you through this difficult journey in a “foreigners-not friendly” language like Czech! But believe me, thanks to CLT Studio and the patience of its teachers you will discover that IMPOSSIBLE IS NOTHING!!!!JUST TRY IT!!! Thank you CLT, you are the best!!!!

CLT recently organised an intensive week-long course for me and I can fully recommend this organisation to anybody who wishes to take a short tailor-made one-to-one course in Czech, including at advanced level. Proper thought went into preparing the material and classes and the teaching methods used were very professional. CLT also has good classroom facilities. The course was good value for money and was precisely what was advertised with no hidden add-ons. I should add that I organised the course from outside the Czech Republic through internet, which worked very well ( students do a placement test which is properly assessed).

Hi guys, Czech Language Training is definitively a great school for all foreigners that want to learn such a difficult language as Czech.I am an engineer in the manufacturing field and I daily work with Czech colleagues ( technicians and opertors ) that cannot speak English at all !I even have technical meetings , conference calls and trainings in Czech. When I got the job, I thought I would turn crazy because I had so much difficulty in making myself understood and in understing people. Even with my Cezch girlfriend help, I was not able to make tremendous progress ! In 6 months time , I managed to get a complete confidence and great skills thanks to the Czech Language Training school best practices and thanks to a hard personnal work. The methodologies are very efficient! I have been searching for a good language school in Prague for ages and this school is the best due to the quality courses and the courses cost.JUST DO IT !

Wonderful, experienced, accomplished teachers. Mirek is a wonderful teacher--highly trained in his field and very experienced. Because of his experience he can discover the best method for each individual student. He cares deeply about what he does, and it shows. He's a delightful person, a pleasure to be around. As a teacher he's patient and never loses his sense of humour. He varies the content and methods in lessons so that they never become boring. He worked with my 10 year old son for a year and my son loved the lessons and learned an extraordinary amount.
Kathryn Kramer – Visiting Professor of English
Highly Recommended. Very good one on one language course. His method is really unique and effective. I had fun in his lessons and learned a lot.

Learning to talk, 26 Sep 03 .I was looking for individual classes in Czech conversation and found a teacher who can conjure up entertaining conversation in a broad range of subjects and, what is more, can really have you talk. Miroslav is also patient and adaptable, for example in my case he agreed to have all our classes in a cafe near my place. He can give you useful advice on how to improve your weak points.
Daniel Sanchioni – translator in EU
Really tailored teaching method adapted to my weak points constantly. Patient, friendly and a real innovator in teaching Czech. Really pleasant and efficient. I really learnt and enjoyed!
Miguel Cuenca - translator
I would not have any hesitation in recommending Mr. Kasparek / CLT / to anyone that would like to learn Czech, yvonne. havlicek, 29 May 04. Mr. Kasparek is always very well prepared for his classes. His lessons are very structured, organized and follow each other very systematically. I would not have any hesitation in recommending Mr. Kasparek to anyone that would like to learn Czech.
Yvonne Havlicek - Director - International English
A great teacher...if you are serious about learning Czech, I recommend going to Mr.Kasparek.,5 Jul 04. I went to Mr Kasparek to do an intensive course in Czech grammar. He was always well prepared and had obviously put time and thought into designing the course. He knew what he was doing, a clear system and effective teaching methods. Definitely a professional. He adapated the course to meet my needs and interests, he was open and friendly.
Nicola Brabenec -The Prague Poste
Class was good, overall, and your enthusiasm and energy are unmatched - you keep class from dragging. I love that you're always willing to digress from the subject at hand to talk about different words, or Czech culture, or whatever.
Ben Osheroff, American student
I studied with CLT / teacher Miroslav Kasparek/ for six months while I lived in Prague, and I wholeheartedly recommend him as a teacher. I came to him with an unusual language background, as I had studied other Slavic languages and knew a fair amount of conversational Czech, yet struggled with Czech grammar. Despite the challenge in ascertaining what I needed most work on, Miroslav demonstrated the acuity of seasoned professional in organizing a lesson plan I found very interesting and highly beneficial. We worked from a series of articles on Czech culture and foreigners in the Czech Republic which sparked many poignant conversations and essay topics I thoroughly enjoyed writing on. Miroslav works with the understanding that students learn best when they enjoy themselves while remaining committed to the primacy of the language’s fundamentals. He is a highly professional teacher who takes his job and students seriously. If you are looking to improve your Czech you could not ask for a better teacher.
Jessica Merrill, Slavist/Linguist
I have been very satisfied with Eva Vokata as my Czech teacher from CLT. Already from the first trial lesson, she was very professional and easily she found out how to work with me combined with my wishes and needs. The lessons have always been a combination of hard work with space for fun and this combination has given a very open and free atmosphere to learn during the lessons. The way Eva taught me with different kind of tools like magazines, puzzles and so on made the lessons more different from each other and hereby more interesting. The benefit of the lessons has been very satisfying and I’m quit sure that the chosen way she taught me was the right one.
Morten Nikolaisen, Retail Manager, JYSK s.r.o.
Thank you again for your wonderful presentation today. The basic introduction to language was helpful, the information in the politics and history of the Czech language was fascinating. You are an excellent lecturer, and I look forward to working with you again.
Paul Nemecek – professor of Spring Arbor Universit
If you are serious about learning Czech, then call Miroslav Kaspareck with Czech Language Training. Don't be fooled by the larger schools where you are only a number. At CLT you will get personalized lessons that will be rewarded with good results if you put in the effort. I have been taking lessons for over six months from them and I can tell you, it has been well worth it. There are several instuctors at the school so I feel confident you can agree on a time slot to fit your schedule. An added bonus--they keep it fun!
Miroslav is an excellent teacher of Czech. He prepares really well and takes a genuine interest in helping you understand how to use the language. His approach is focussed, lively and international in style. My Czech was sufficient to get the gist of what was going on but my grammar was terrible. He identified my weaknesses and built up my confidence in those areas. I now have an excellent base from which to continue learning and developing. As an international teacher myself I can thoroughly recommend him.
